Refrigerated wagon

Refrigerated wagon is a universal covered wagon for the transport of perishable goods, long-term storage of which is possible only at lower temperatures (often at below 0 ° C). To comply with the conditions under which the cargo is not exposed to physico-chemical and biogenic factors, it is equipped with a refrigeration subsystem.
The main share of perishable goods transported by rail is more than 600 km. Most of them are food.

Refrigerator cars are isothermal cars that have an all-metal body with spinal beam and a thermal insulation layer that protects the interior of the car (and, therefore, cargo) from outside heat. The main difference from other isothermal cars is the presence of machine cooling and electric heating. In refrigeration vehicles of refrigerated rolling stock, ammonia, freon are used as refrigerants, power supply comes from diesel generators. Electric heating is used for heating. Also, refrigerators include devices for forced air circulation and ventilation of the cargo area. Chassis - biaxial jawless trucks with Galakhov springs type KVZ-I2 with a base of 2400 mm. They are equipped with axle boxes with roller bearings.
